Louth Craftmark and Creative Spark

Louth Craftmark first received support from the Louth County Enterprise Fund in 2006 when it was developing and establishing Louth Craftmark at highlanes Gallery in Drogheda. This community network-led project was set up to support established and emerging craft and creative businesses to bring their products to a local and national market. The assistance from the fund in the form of low-interest finance and grant aid was vital to the successful operation of the enterprise.

In 2011, when Louth Craftmark was putting together a funding package for its new venture, Creative Spark, Louth County Enterprise fund was approached with a request to provide bridging finance for the project. At a time when banks were proving very difficult to work with, Louth County Enterprise Fund was of great assistance to Louth Craftmark in providing a bridging loan to allow the project to commence.

The Board of Louth County Enterprise Fund has a great understanding of the local business environment and was extremely helpful in the advising and guiding Louth Craftmark during its application process. We are very grateful to the Fund for the support we received and the enabling role it has played for our company.

Ardee Coach Trim Ltd, Artnalivery, Ardee, Co. Louth

Just a few words to express my thanks to you , the Louth Enterprise Fund, for your support to me and my company, Ardee Coach Trim Ltd. The board of the Louth Enterprise Fund have played a major part in our success as a limited company through their support on a number of occasions over the last number of years.

The board have been very understanding of our needs in getting the company up and running. I might add without their help we may very well not be the company we are today. When we started in 1989 we had 3 people employed. In 2007 we had 32 full time employees. In 2009 this figure dropped to 16 due to the collapse of the Banking Industry,

Today, thanks to the help from the Louth Enterprise Fund, we are back up to 24 full tIme employees.

Thanks again for all your support.
