Joe English Acting CEO of Louth County Enterprise Board. Joe works with both start-up companies and those businesses looking to expand. He particularly enjoys working with individuals who are thinking of starting out on their own. An engineer by trade, Joe has worked across the world with large multinational companies and has also set up his own high-technology company. For the past ten years,Joe has worked in small business development in the North-East.
Ciara Kennedy is currently in her second year as Chairperson of the Board of the Louth County Enterprise Fund. Ciara is employed by the Ardee Community Development Company as Business Development Manager at Ardee Business Park. She holds a Batchelor of Business Studies Degree in Marketing and a Certificate in Training and Continuing Education. Ciara is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). She is registered with the Teaching Council of Ireland as an Information Technology Tutor and registered FAS Instructor. She is Secretary of the North-East Enterprise Centre Association and a member of the Management Board of the Ferdia Jobs Club.
Hazel has been a Board member for 10 years and is also a member of the Assessment Committee. She established her own business, the Recruitment Bureau, in Drogheda in 1995 and it is now the longest established recruitment agency in the North East. The company recruits for both permanent and temporary vacancies across a range of sectors and also offers outplacement and psychometric testing services. Hazel is actively involved in many aspects of business life in Drogheda.
Anne Reilly is founder and CEO of PaycheckPlus, an award winning international payroll outsource company. PaycheckPlus processes UK and Irish payroll generating real cost savings and efficiency for their clients primarily in the SME sector. From a corporate financial and logistics background with Unilever and Heinz, Anne also lectured in Payroll and Employment Law for the Irish Payroll Association and is an IoD qualified Company Director specialising in Finance, Strategy, Leadership and Corporate Compliance.
Deirdre has over 25 year experience working in the Insurance Industry and currently owns and manages her own Insurance Brokers, ProActive Solutions, in Ardee. She also has extensive experience of working in the Health & Safety Industry and provides a consultancy service in this area. She has a BA in Marketing and also a CIP which is a Professional Diploma in Insurance. Deirdre is actively involved in the community locally and is the founder of the Ardee Ladies in Business networking group, a committee member of Ardee Celtic Football Club and a member of the Ardee Traders Association.
Ann is an entrepreneur and business owner who has been running Lawlor Associates Recruitment Ltd since 2001. Before establishing her own business she was employed as VP Human Resources for Marconi Communications for 5 years and prior to that, held HR Management roles with a number of other US multinational companies in Dublin (Frame Technology, ISOCOR and FORE Systems). Ann's business is focussed on local and international recruitment and her business currently holds contracts in Ireland, UK, Canada and New Zealand. Ann holds a Masters Degree in HR Strategies from DCU and she has held Board memberships with the Louth Country Enterprise Board (10 years) and the Louth County Development Board (6 years). Ann became a Board Member of The Fund in May 2014.
By far the longest serving Director of the Enterprise Fund Paddy was one of the founding Directors and has remained on our Board from the formation of the company in 1987. A very successful business man in Ardee where he has his own Agricultural Equipment and farm supplies business, Paddy Callan is very heavily involved in all aspects of business , social and sporting life in the Mid Louth area. He has over the years been very actively involved with Ardee Credit Union and St. Marys GAA Club and many other organisations working for the benefit of the people of Ardee.
Helen Johnston is Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors and has been a member of the Fund for over 20 years. She was the founder of Amray Medical , Drogheda , a company manufacturing and distributing a wide range of medical devises particularly well known for its specialist x-ray protection equipment.
John Hennessy manages his own Accountancy practice in Ardee.
John Lawrence has over twenty five years experience in the Local Government sector, having worked in Dun Laoghaire Corporation, Louth County Council and Dundalk Town Council and is currently assigned to the new Local Enterprise Office in Louth. He has held management roles in various departments including Planning & Development, Social Housing & Community Involvement and Human Resources and he recently managed the Transition process for the delivery of a unified county structure in Louth.
